Since my freshman year of high school, I’ve always had a knack for professional clothing. While my peers were in Nike shorts, fitted caps, and jeans…I was wearing blazers, two piece suits, and slacks. I just loved how it looked! So naturally, the law school atmosphere has not been difficult to adapt to in terms of style. However, as a 1L, we still are able to dress comfortably unless told otherwise. But as for me, I like to use everyday as an opportunity to practice for the time when my title as “law student” will transition into my title as “attorney”. With that being said, over the past couple of months I’ve been collecting fun and innovative outfits that are still young and unique, yet still gives that hint of professionalism that’s heavily desired in the legal profession.
With this law school addition, I wanted to make this purple Ann Taylor dress pop. So i decided to incorporate one of my favorite pairs of earrings along with my red briefcase. I thought the big curls to one side not only completed the look, but helped accentuate the sophisticated chicness that I was aiming for.
Although law school is demanding, I believe that looking the part is a great way to making learning some of the dryer material in our legal system a little more fun. Besides, who said you couldn’t learn about Removal in Civil Procedure and look great while doing it?
